The Point Breeze Yard Sale committee will:

• Post flyers around the neighborhood and at local businesses.
• Create online event postings on Pittsburgh event pages, Craigslist, Nextdoor, etc. 
• Collaborate with Pittsburgh neighborhood organizations and local businesses to share information about the event through their social media channels.
• Post large sign around the neighborhood leading up to the event.
• Provide yard signs to participants to advertise yard sales the week before the event.

Pricing
A good rule of thumb is to sell things for one-half to one-third their original price.  

Try to price things with round numbers -- 25 cents instead of 15 cents; $2 instead of $1.80. This way, you'll avoid juggling loose change and making math errors. 

Clearly mark each item's value with price tags. Keep it simple with masking/painter's tape and a marker.

Have a safe place to keep money.

Keep small bills and coins on hand to make change for customers.

Keep a calculator on hand to tally up all your customers' items.
