CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 18 CANDIDATE FORUM
The League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh is holding Candidate Forums for the Primary election to be held June 2. Of interest to Point Breeze is the following forum to be held:
Tues. May 19 7:00 PM U S Congress 18-Rep. Mike Doyle and Gerald Dickinson
For this forum, the LWVGP is co-sponsoring with WTAE-TV with WTAE doing the recording and providing the moderator. The forum will be recorded on the date and time noted a will then be uploaded to the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh’s Facebook page as soon as possible thereafter: http://facebook.com/lwvpgh . Anyone can view the forum on Facebook and “share” them to their own Facebook pages. The Congressional forum will be broadcast on Wed. May 20 at 7:00 PM on WTAE and be available for on-demand viewing on their website.
VOTER EDUCATION PROJECT -
The League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh is also offering a VOTER PROJECT - Free Digital Civic Education and Voter Registration Lesson for High School Seniors or for Anyone Who Wants to Learn More about voting. This was originally developed for High School Seniors, but is applicable for anyone who want to learn the new registration process and voting rules. PBO INITIATES SIDEWALK CHALK ACTIVITY:
The Point Breeze Organization want to help during the Covid-19 pandemic. Many of you are working from home and your children are doing online learning at home also.We have noticed many sidewalk chalk drawings on our daily walks.
We would like to encourage you to produce more chalk sidewalk drawings! We can post pictures of these on our website and Facebook page.
If you need chalk we can also supply that. Just contact us at email@example.com and we will deliver the chalk to your porch.
Now is an important time for us to work together and what better way than decoration our neighborhood sidewalks!
